I just wish I could ever find the aldi cream in stock!
I'm intrigued by the idea of conditioner-only hair-washing. I can see how this would work on curly/frizzy/dry hair but does anyone with fine, straight hair prone to greasiness use this method? I usually have to wash my hair every day or it just looks like a greasbomb - however i can see that all this washing probably contributes to the problem so am willing to try a different method!
Oh - and my MS tip is to use essential oils instead of perfume. I particularly like ylang ylang.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Best advice i can give is to stop using them simple as that!
Sounds harsh but i used to use absolutely loadsa make up expensive ones at that then i realised one day i musta looked bloody stupid everyday dolling up to the nines so i reduced what i wore bit by bit and although you may want to wear it everyday i dont wear it at all unless im going out somewhere i.e weekends out weddings and the likes and people can then tell ive made an effort to look good instead of looking the same everyday and i also feel so much better when i do get to put all me make up on cos hubby and kids really appreciate me and tell me i look nice instead of expecting me to look wonderfull every day sorry to ramble on but i hope you get what i mean!
Now im lucky if i have to top up my make up tray every 7-8 months and thats usually just mascara very money saving if you ask me good luck hth
As for bubble baths etc i use asdas big bottle of bubble bath for 48 p the cream one is delish and i still enjoy my long soaks and for a treat we buy a box of radox aromatherapy once a month for a little treat xWe Make A Living By What We Get. We Make A LIFE By What We GIVE:money:

I'm the same as you Destiny, I dont bother wearing make up. Infact apart from putting a bit on for the TV I havent worn anything but sunscreen for probably a year.
I think it depends what people want from the products. Its the chemicals etc that bother me. I wont use bubble baths or anything because they are full of chemical agents including sls's that are used in lots of harsher products, even in paints to make them spread better.
I go as natural as possible so for me a relaxing bath would be using dead sea salt to cleanse and rest my skin, homemade soap for cleansing and then maybe some homemade body butter to nourish my skin. For a treat I like to use bath bombs that i've made. I often add good stuff to these for a skin treat, other times i full them full of glitter and prance about like a child!0 -
Going to give this conditioner-only washing a go then, will stock up on conditioner today as i am nearly out.
Can anyone recommend a good conditioner to try (my hair is fine and straight) - I'm assuming one without silicone, but how does silicone appear in the ingredients list? Any help on this appreciated!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

I would really shudder to estimate the amount i have spent on cosmetics before i became moneysaving.
I regularly used to splurge on Dior, Benefit, Mac and expensive face products. Sometime i'd buy two of something, one to keep at home and the other for my handbag, eeek. Then DS came along and i had a rethink.
Since then, i've swapped everything around. Instead of buying a designer eyeliner for £15, i buy a max factor kohl for £4.99. I buy Bourjois products because i like the quality, the price isn't bad either. One of my friends works at MAC so if she has a clearout she sometimes gives me things to try (you should see her bathroom, HEAVEN!) My only compromise on this is that i buy Lancome Juicy Tubes on the internet, i have never used a lipgloss that has impressed me as much.
Skin care wise, my complexion has never been better since i dumped all the expensive trash i was using. To cleanse i use Wrught's coal tar soap (very good for spots and imperfections) this is about a pound a bar at tescos. Superdrug had a sale on lancome toner, they were reduced to £3 so i bought an armful early last year. To moisturise i use Palmer's Cocoa Butter. Twice a week i use a basic apricot scrub to exfoliate.

You want the very cheapest conditioner you can find. Another forum that I go on that is beauty based recommed the asda own brand at approx 40p a bottle. It has to be the really cheap stuff so its got no silicones. I've used the Sainsbury's and Tesco cheapies with good results.
You can still use a good quality conditioner afterwards.
Use quite a bit and rub it in as you would shampoo. There is just enough foaming agent in conditioner to make it take away grease and dirt and wash away well.0 -
Well I washed my hair with conditioner today and it doesn't feel too bad at all. Just used up the dregs of what was in the bathroom which does contain silicone I think, so stocked up on other conditioners to try today. Got Boots own brand camomile and lemon which was £1.29 but on BOGOF and don't think it has silicones in - not familiar with all the possible names for silicone yet though. Got Aldi's 49p jojoba conditioner to try too.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0
