Park home owner - energy overcharged now court?

Please do keep us updated, we all love to know the outcomes.
I'll reiterate what others have already said and you've read, the small claims court is a set up aimed at private individuals and in many cases, just a paperwork exercise - and it's in plain English - there is often no 'court appearances' - it's largely just forms back and forth with deadlines to complete them etc. I've only had to attend once (I've taken action against others for money owed 3 times in total) in person and that was a long time ago, but was just me and the court official in a small room and we had a natter because the other party didn't turn up. Now it's done digitally, the last one was all done from where I'm sat right now. But if he does go that route, ensure that you do submit your defence by the stipulated deadline, otherwise the other party can win by default.
If it were me, if the park owner makes threats again about 'taking you to court', just smile sweetly and say "please do, I welcome the opportunity to present my evidence of x, y and z and let the court system decide the outcome." as @doodling also suggested. I suspect it's a bluff to intimidate you more than anything. When I took my actions, the first they knew from me was getting a letter before action giving them a last opportunity to pay before I took it further. I suspect that most people who do intend going the legal route don't bother threatening it, they just get on with it - why play your hand too early.
Good luck, keep us posted.2
