Few bits added to my pot from rounding up the card payments at the weekend. Not a lot, but we all know it can add up!

Shell xA very warm welcome to you, shell16 (025) it's lovely to have you with us. Have great fun saving You'll find your No above as well as on the 2nd Post of Page 1, and please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how to save with the challenge. We always empty our pots and declare what's in them in October, please make a note of this year's date: Thursday 26th October 2022.Please pop your SPC No on your signature as it's a great help. To do so please to your profile Photo, top right, click then go to Signature Settings, lower and on the left, be sure to SAVE before fleeing!Have a lovely Monday Folks, a great week ahead too!!For all those who are poorly or feeling low in any way, do take great care and get well soon. Love and best wishes from us all.Don't worry Chocolatedrinker, you'll always have No 13 as your No, it would be far too much for me to change everyone's Nos every year! 😳 Your Target of £100 is next to your name, all the best with whatever you're able to save!I well understand what you mean, MrsShazbat, we've potted our money for so long and now it's become a difficult habit to break. We get very little cash as our shopping is delivered, and most local shops will only accept cards! 😠 So, when we need things from those our pot almost snaffles up any change it gets! It's starving poor little mite! 😫 I've got a pot for each denomination, a fat lot of good they are now!!Well done in saving your cash! Thanks a lot 32b3, all the best for the year ahead!Great potting, Keedie! Good luck with the 1p challenge!! Don't forget to include it when you declare your declaration here on SPC in October! It's ok Peony, no one needs to join again each year, and we all keep the same Nos. I hope all the family are as well as possible, especially your husband xxI wasn't ignoring you, LMD, I just forgot your 1s post, but it's so good to see how well you're saving already!!Excellent potting, madlyn!!Hi Ant, I was quite surprised as I've not even put a reminder thread on the main DFW board, ist time ever! I guess the SPC 14 and SCP 16 threads are up and down so often, folk are noticing so much.Martin wrote to me once saying he was so impressed with us, and said he'd say about SPC in his Newsletter about 8 years ago, as a result we had more than 100 folk join up!!!!!! I'm just so relieved he's never mentioned it since!!Have a good Monday, folks!!!SueNB folks: Declaration date for SPC 16 is 26th October 2023!Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late! So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j4 -
Keedie said:I don't spend my £2 coins unless it's an emergency either @MrsShazbat. I've paid for plenty of holidays that way. I try not to break 50ps either. I have two tins this year, one for 50p, £1 and £2 and one for 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p. The higher valued coins will go towards a holiday and the lower valued coins will go towards debt. I'm going to start the penny challenge as well and set that money aside in a locked pot within my Monzo account. Not sure how far I'll get with it, but I know it'll be worth it.
I've potted a further £4.15 yesterday but forgot to declare.Pre-Covid, my jar was £2s, £1s and 50p's. We have a large plastic Coke bottle for the other coppers and stuff although there's only really me who puts any shrapnel in there. But that takes an age to even half-fill (the furthest we've managed) so I don't really count it.Paid my £2s in to the bank this morning as I took myself off Xmas shopping while DH had his surgery as I wasn't allowed to stay with him at the hospital, was amused at them sellotaping the flap on each bag of coins?!SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)3 -

I'd thought of getting one of those coke bottles for coins @MrsShazbatbut the truth is, it'd be too heavy to lift (I struggle to carry those Poundland tins when they're half full). They look good when they're filled up though, I've seen a few Tik Tok videos of people cashing in their coins which I find motivating my proxy 😁. I hope your husband's surgery went well.
Glad to see you joining us @shell16! It's such a great challenge.
I received some tips from @LittleMissDetermined with managing the sealed pot challenge and so I'll definitely be counting it in my total @Sue-UU. I've potted £18.15 as part of this challenge today.
