PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Neighbour wants access for repairs after harassment

It wasn't an accurate description of that roofer, given what we were told by the OP?Is this not same roofer who is seemingly ok with standing near the OP's boundary, and talking in 'stage whispers' about how 'difficult' the neighbour is?0

I can see you are heavily invested in this thread but it's ok to take a step back when new information comes to light. You can cut the patronising out if you like - it reflects more on you. But, fair do's for the rest of it - I very likely got the sequence out of kilter. Now't wrong with 'talking', tho'.
I'm sorry if you felt patronised. Certainly not my intention.
I was reflecting on my experience on this site as much as anything.
99.9% of the time we only have one side of the story. The more posts an OP makes the more drip feeding of information finds its way to us.
Along the way (I find) initial perceptions of the situation can change an we (I) should reflect on the situation again given new information.0 -

But that doesn't dismiss what appeared to be an attempt.Anyhoo, yes, of course we only have one side of this - and every - story on here. And I have made it clear on more than one occasion that answers are based solely on the info provided.Sometimes it becomes clear that an OP is not being fully forthcoming/is overly sensitive/has downright unreasonable expectations or whatevs, and folk on here usually respond with tempered advice.I don't see anything like that in this thread, so all my advice was given on the assumption that what Insom has told us is an accurate account, and that they have been given a tough time by this unpleasant neighbour for quite a while.0
