hmmm but... "After 12-months, the contract will automatically continue on a rolling basis for a pricier £22 a month providing you're still eligible for one of the above benefits""Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1

Anyone on Vodafone who has switched over to this social tariff from the Fast Fibre 1 or 2 package? I know it states 38mbps as the speed, this is my current speed on Fast Fibre 1, I am curious to know if there is any issues with speed, throttling or any download or other restrictions. TIA0

I was already with Vodafone, arranged before Christmas to switch to the Vodafone social tariff. Im being charged by Vodafone because im breaking the original contract with them to switch to the social tariff and it involved an engineer coming out who put the router in an awful place in the kitchen. Really do not think Vodafone care much about the social tariff, well not with my experience of themDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm not surprised they are charging you because you were still in a contract.Happy_Kitties said:Im being charged by Vodafone because im breaking the original contract with them to switch to the social tariff

Thanks for that it's an insight. I have to ask, why an engineer for a router, surely you just plug it in yourself?? I would be asking a few points before I agree; 1] Is it still copper to cabinet & fibre from cabinet; 2] is there any throttling at peak times; 3] Any download limits & 4] will ending my contract incur any penalties.Happy_Kitties said:I was already with Vodafone, arranged before Christmas to switch to the Vodafone social tariff. I would consider going to the ombudsman in your case or at the very least complaining, the whole point of the social tariff is to save a few quid especially if you are struggling.0 -
According to what I read fast fibre1 and fibre 2 should not incur any penalty if switching. However I can not find any T&C's small print, I will be requesting this before agreeingpoppy12345 said:

BT doesn't charge if you move to their social tariff.poppy12345 said:I'm not surprised they are charging you because you were still in a contract.
Will have a look to see if Vodafone does.
