Sainsburys have Lyles golden syrup and black treacle.Be kind to others and to yourself too.1

I will risk using it. It's in a glass jar so there's no risk of it reacting with metal.I've had tins of T&L Golden Syrup that have developed black marks around the bottom edge of the tin and around the lid. Looks like tar. I don't know what that is, but it's caused me to chuck out tins.Which is a shame because I think old GS has a nicer taste than fresh 🙂1

My Gran - dead now for the last 40 years - used to make the most fabulous bonfire toffee with treacle.
Quite bitter and an acquired taste.
I'd love a chunk right now.

Thank you all , I don’t have a waitrose , and have tried the others, I might need to ask every time I go in , they might get the message ! I’m in the north west . A 50 min train ride from Manchester.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0

I bought mine in a local health food store. ( It was actually past its best by date then or just about on it, and reduced to half price
)
H&B might stock it.0 -
Just remembered, my grandma used to buy Amber Syrup. Is that still a thing? When I try to Google it, it brings up Maple Syrup. It definitely wasn't that.0
