Glad to read you’re feeling better. I can recommend Abe Books if you’re looking for a second hand book in particular in the future, much cheaper than Amazon and eBay. I think it might’ve been One Broke Lady who recommended The Salt Path on her diary.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. This time of year can really hit hard. I've looked up The Salt Path and added it to my list to be read, and I'll have a look on Abe Books when I'm ready, as I'm trying not to spend too much on anything 😂.

Thanks for the tip on Abe. Will look them up. I normally use WOB, Eb/y or charity shops. Used to use the library a lot but ours only opens such part time hours now, I never seem to get in there much. I have a Kindle which is great for 99p deals.

So its a new month and I'm trying to sort my head out to get everything more organised. I've started trying to PAD more , regularly and today managed £38.70 to various pots. Also the normal mortgage payment went out on the 31st, so we are now under £29K. Its heading in the right direction, which is good. With regard the DMP, I've even had a brilliant F&F offer from one of the creditors offering me 70% off, just trying to work out how/if we can afford it, 'cause its a brilliant saving.
Surveys are a bit slow, especially P/fc, but I did manage £7.35 today from SB & Qm/e We'll see what the rest of the month brings. I predict it will bring good things, I just need to start concentrating more and not take my eye off the ball again.
Not managed a NSD yet, but it is only the 2nd of the month. Hoping for one tomorrow.
Need to get the meal plan done for the next week or so, as well as a decluttering/spring cleaning plan.
Hope you're all doing ok. Thanks for reading as usualMaking the debt go down and savings go up

70% off is great if you can manage to sort that out! Yes LMD, we do, but not enough in there at the moment. Our normal monthly payments are very low, so that's why its taking a while to go down and we have had a couple of F&Fs in the past, which we were able to take advantage of. I'll see what I can sort out. The last one we were offered, they allowed us to spread it over a few months, so might be able to sort that outMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Well, another day, sunshine and blue skies this morning, so we went for a lovely walk to see if it would sort me out. Exercise & a healthy diet is the way forward.
Today will be a NSD, so will post that in a minute & also work out my PAD for the day.
Opened the YBS Rainy Day account and transfered just £5 into it yesterday, to make sure it worked, all ok, so will decide how/when to put money in there to start saving for the long term. Then I decided to open one of their Christmas Saver accounts to use it for my Penny a Day Challenge. I know it is only up to Oct 31st, but I'm sure I can have the full 365 days worth of money in there by then, if I try hard. Trying to put the money I already saved into there, but it won't let me log on ATM, to do it. So might have to set it up as a Payee from my normal bank and transfer it that way.
No surveys so far today, apart from Qm/e. Hoping there might be some in a bit.
Tonight is Shepherds pie from the freezer, from when I batch cooked the other week. I will just do a few more veggies to go with it, it already has some carrot & parsnip in it.
So here's to a brand new week everybody. Keep on being a MSE & frugal, wombling, saver/PADer. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up
