My phone isn't compatible with the 5GHz signal and I also can't find any way on the router settings on http://192.168.1.1 on how to change the channel.0
-
When you say your signal is not as strong, what is the actual strength (measured in dbm)?
Otherwise, how are you determining signal strength?
Measuring using a speed test for example is not related to signal strength.0 -
I should've explained that my phone and an internet radio I use can only connect to Wi-Fi using the 2.4GHz band, that's why I need the 2.4GHz band on my router to work properly.
Like I said, any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I also can't seem to find any way of changing the transmitting channels on my router when I log into http://192.168.1.1 on Vodafone's router settings site.0

I just dont trust the wifi in routers, often poor power on them for broadcastings and traffic on the Ghz range
Always go mesh nodes now, if nothing else gives a strong signal and means can be just plugged into each ISP router when you change.
Look up Tenda MW (6 or 12) range, relatively cheap brand and get from Amazon for easy return incase it doesnt help.0 -
My 2 Vodafone signals are 5GHz: 5G0DC272 and 2.4GHz 2G0DC272 and the 2.4GHz signals doesn't show up anywhere in the list and my laptop which is connected by the 5GHz signal and is only 4 metres away from the router, doesn't show the 2.4GHz signal anywhere in the list.0

For the best co-existence of multiple 2.4 GHz networks, only 1,6 and 11 should be used.
Unfortunately, your screenshot doesn't show which is your 2.4Ghz channel, it doesn't appear in the list?

As I said further up, My 2 Vodafone signals are 5GHz: 5G0DC272 and 2.4GHz 2G0DC272 and the 2.4GHz signals doesn't show up anywhere in the list (as the signal is too low to appear unless I brought my laptop right next to my router) and my laptop which is connected by the 5GHz signal and is only 4 metres away from the router, doesn't show the 2.4GHz signal anywhere in the list.
