Free Landline Number Calls From My PC?

How about getting an O2 Classic PAYG SIM from e bay? It's 3p a minute calls, not quite the price you want but less than the price you haveRKoz said:
I knew this would come up. I basically don't use my phone other than when I'm at home on wifi. £20 on PAYG historically lasts me most of a year, and you're not going to find a better rate than that anywhere. It used to be Three's, 123 sim only, but they massively upped their prices a while back, and I as text, call or use data so rarely, there's never been a reason to change. But when I do need to make a long call I want a way that won't cost me all my credit in an hour.Neil_Jones said:RKoz said:Is there a way to call customer service numbers for free from my PC? My mobile PAYG per minute rate is extortionate (30p/min) so being on hold is not an option. Wondering what alternatives are out there?
Maybe it would be more prudent to move mobile phone provider/tariff. 30ppm is quite a lot, you can get better elsewhere.

Skype is, I believe, 2p per minute for standard UK calls.
