  • After calling the local shop. I've been ad ised that London Cambridge run the car park.

I have managed to get the number from the guy I spoke to. He had to read it from the signs apparently. As they have absolutely nothing to do with the company.

Do I now call London Cambridge? Or do I just go to there website ecp and appeal?

    Who are 'London Cambridge'?
Interesting that you say they are mentioned on the signs.
  • I have no idea who they are tbh. The bloke I spoke to took a few minuets to get the number so I assumed he had to lea e his office to do this b
  • @KeithP I was intending on going there tomorrow to get photos ect.. I'll speak to the manager then. Not sure which shop it would be though. As they have 3/4 other surrounding shops do I just try my luck with all of them?

    Yes.

You only need to find a sympathetic, consumer focussed store manager who cares more about prospective returning customers than aggressive parking firms who undoubtedly drive customers away.

Visit every shop on the site, especially if you have ever used them before.
Sometimes a store manager has the ability to cancel a parking charge.

I suggest you dig deeper to find a postal and/or email address for the landowner or managing agent. Everything needs to be done in writing. Remember to only refer to yourself as the vehicle keeper who happened to be an occupant at the time.

The local Planning Department may have information about the landowner, and you can also ask the council who pays the non-domestic business rates. Sometimes this is available as a spreadsheet on a council website.

Perhaps it is this outfit who manage the site.

...remembering to take pictures of the signs.   ;)
  • Been to the car park in question managed to speak to 3 managers. 2 were a not at all helpful. The 3rd was but said pretty much the same she was unable to do anything. She did give me an email address. I got a picture if a sign that was filthy. But you can clearly see shop signs from across the road.
  • The signs across the road are of shops in the background on the opposite side of the road.
