Changed back to my fixed tariff from SVR with EDF

I was exactly in the same position as the OP.
Same fixed E7 tariff although different region. I transferred to the SVR about nine days ago. Phoned EDF yesterday and said I would like to go back to my fix. They told me that they had only one tariff - the SVR, and my previous fix was no longer available.
I pointed out that my switch letter said I had 14 days to change my mind. After lots of toing and froing, they put me back on my previous fix.
Although a bit more expensive, the peace of mind is worth it.2 -
Try ringing them. It’s easier to argue your case on the phone rather than backwards & forwards on a chat. If you still get no joy, ask for it to be raised as a complaint, make sure you get the complaint reference number & if they still won’t do it ask for your complaint to be passed to a manager. Hopefully you’ll speak to someone in the UK rather than off shore as they are a lot more accommodatingNightRate said:That’s the email that was sent to me on the first day of my new contract:
I’ll save money this winter on the SVR. It’s the second year I’m more interested in.0
