Interesting . My neighbours and I have now submitted four defence documents, copying in DCB Legal. None of us got that particular laugh fest ! Strange people, I wonder which planet they are on this week.
The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.

That's why I worried the OP may have put a typo for the CCBC email and DCBLegal spotted the opportunity.  But that didn't happen (phew!).

Maybe the OP didn't copy in DCBLegal, but instead sent them a standalone email separately from the CCBC email so DCBLegal thought (wrongly) that this OP hadn't sent the defence at all to the CCBC?

What a gas, OMG that letter

Yes, a letter to keep for the eyes of the Judge.

They can't say they never received it ...... THEY DESTROYED IT ??

    Planet Earth to Major Tom

    Sacrebleu Rodney ???
I know right, why do they even bother to send these stupid letters absolute waste of time.
Because they are mug seeking, good job you joined this forum, mug seekers become history here

The CCBC sent you a letter, or will send you a letter, saying the Claimant has twenty eight days to consider your Defence.
What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant.
It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.
Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a Directions Questionnaire as promptly as you might like.
Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back to the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course?
  • Thanks @KeithP I will keep checking the mcol website every few days.

According to the mcol website a DQ was sent on the 13th December so I am going to download the form myself and email it to the ccbc. Just one question though, section D on the DQ that asks Suitability for determination without a hearing, do I state no to this? Thanks.

Read the thread about the new DQ Question by @Grizebeck from June, which tells everyone what to put.
