If you are electric only how are you heating your house?
    Electric raditors
Are these traditional storage rads or slimline panels ?
Slimline but have not used them since April. Could there be fault with the meter.

Could there be a fault with the meter. It's impossible that we have used this much electric.

Plenty of people here will advise on how to audit your consumption. First please let us know the readings on your meter which you provided to the energy supplier when you moved in and the date of those readings, and also the readings today. You will have two reading for each date, i.e. day rate and night rate.
91365 day 80134 night that was 22/11/21  lasted read 2440 day 8408 night
As you are on E7 what region are you in as those vary a lot by region, then we can calculate your annual costs and estimate monthly Direct Debits.
Assuming last read was today - should 8408 be 84080 ?

In 10 months you have used 11000 day units and 4000night. WOW to the day use
Yes and I know its just impossible that we could have used that much.

Why on earth are you still on an E7 tariff if you don't have NSH's? Standard convectors are designed to run on a single rate tariff, so hey will be ruinously expensive on E7, as, unless you are nocturnal, they will all be heating in the morning and evening on E7 peak rate.
You need to switch to a single rate tariff urgently, which may or may not require a change of metering (normally not required if you have a smart meter).
The tank 'stat on your immersion heater is normally strapped to the side of the tank, it may be obscured by the insulating jacket, if fitted.
Post some pics of the tank and the convectors.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The OP is on a single rate tariff.

I only have a switch on wall to turn on and off can't see a thermostat to turn temp down as boiling hot

    Could this be a clue?!

But are they? They say their bills still show day and night units. Are the 2 registers actually being totalised and billed as single rate now? If it's a smart meter, then the switch should have been made remotely and the bills should no longer display dual registers.
OP needs to clarify and maybe post a copy of a recent bill.

non smart digital meters will use the same single rate on both night and day and dont need changing.    However, you are right that the OP should check the billing to make sure the same rate is being applied to both.

It looks like the house has very inefficient heating and hot water systems (or is not being used optimally).

Have a hot water tank it looks old but seems to work as i get hot water.

It is indeed possible that your house is using that much energy - especially as you don't seem totally on top of what you have and how it works.  I would start by recording your readings daily, and comparing a few days with hot water and heating off with a few days when you use it.  How long are your showers?  Keep track of that time with your daily readings too.  How warm does your hot water tank feel on the outside?  Is it poorly insulated?  If it gets boiling is the thermostat working properly and set correctly?
