CeMAP Qualication Mortgage Advisor

Hey guys just looking for some about becoming an independent mortgage adviser and doing a CeMAP course.
Currently I work as a building surveyor within the NHS so looking to do this a side hussle for extra income.
Has anybody done this part time to begin with on top of another FT job. Is it realistic to think that’s viable?
Also what kind of timescale would it take to get qualified and be able to start off.
Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated
