Hello to keep it short basically I ran and built a successful ltd company recycling business until i involved friends and family, I lost that now as got depressed from life and stress , my ex partner with 3 kids together cheated on me I tried to stay for a few years but couldn’t , I met a lovely girl now and hope soon to get married .

I have undiagnosed ADHD plus now going through with assessments and counselling for PTSD

My credit it shot and I now want to change things to get a mortgage asap

right the dilemma , I have left the house and everything was in my name and not changed a thing but also not paid a thing for the last 15 months , also all other bills debts are going there and I ignore them or don’t open them if I do have them .
I have just started today and it’s not nice .

Me and the ex was in an Iva that should have ended 2 years ago but i didn’t deal with that but have now so got that sorted in a few weeks . Never again do I want to enter an Iva or any sort of plan .

i challenged a few companies yesterday through resolver on my credit file so waiting on that .

but tonight I’ve opened the letters and bang there is so many court fines
enforcement visits ect ect and things like my driving license been taken soon for things that could of been prevented, I’m trying but I’m loosing hope now
is there anyone who can just take this off me and fight them or sort without entering a plan or can i explain my situation to creditors or courts and hope they understand.

Plus I still have my company to sort after this

any advise would be great thanks lee

I diidnt want to read and run and am sure others with wiser heads will be along soon but I think you need to speak to one of the debt charities such as step change. They will not judge and I am sure will be able to help you.

    Hi,

You mention a whole host of different debt issues here, ideally each account needs listing, what action has been taken on it, and what the current status is.

You need to do this for all your debts to ascertain your position, as it sounds like a mixture of consumer credit debts and motoring fines to me.
How you deal with them depends on what income/savings you have, there is no easy or quick answer here, the devil is in the detail, and you haven`t really given us that much to go on.

You then throw into the mix -

"Me and the ex was in an Iva that should have ended 2 years ago but i didn’t deal with that but have now so got that sorted in a few weeks. Never again do I want to enter an Iva or any sort of plan"

Can you explain what you mean by "sorted in a few weeks" what is the status of your IVA currently?

Are any or all of the debts that are writing to you included in the IVA?

You really need to sit down and go through everything to find out what each accounts status actually is, if you can`t face doing this yourself, then National Debtline or Stepchange will be able to help you.

I would think your credit file was the least of your worries here, I don`t expect a mortgage will be winging it`s way to you anytime soon until your debts have been cleared and your credit file expunged of all negative information, and only time can do that.

You sound a bit overwhelmed so I suggest you take these letters and deal with them one at a time.  The motoring fines and driving licence issues are separate from the debt.  Emphasise your mental health has not allowed you to deal with this over the last few years but you may already have CCJs.

The debt situation you could help with from stepchange.  Who dealt with the IVA for you?  You will have to put the mortgage on the back burner as you will not get one any time soon. Just try and sort the debts out and make a plan going forward.  Are you working now?

You might want to remove yours and your partner’s name from your post?

I know that you can edit or delete a post although I've never tried it. There is a cog icon on the top right of your post, you can select edit or delete.
If you get stuck, email for[email protected] & they should be able to help.
It's not a good idea to put your real name on a post that anyone can read.

This is for council tax recovery, they cannot force entry for this debt, they can enter through an unlocked door though, best advice is to not allow them entry, deal with them in writing only, as the demands they make can be overwhelming.

It would be to your advantage to get some kind of payment arrangement up and running ASAP, if you cannot afford to pay this outright, as this is a priority debt, as I`m sure you are aware.

They give you their payment details, pay what you can, when you can, regardless of what they may say, the quicker you can pay this off the better.

They will be acting under a liability order, not a county court judgement, so nothing will appear on your credit file with regard to this.

What other debts do you have that are not covered by your IVA?
