I can put up with a lot of time consuming, awkward & clumsy banking for £2310 interest a year.😁4

Yes, exactly. They often offer the best rates, so you don't have any choice. But if there were 2 accounts with exactly the same rate then I wouldn't choose Cynergy.subjecttocontract said:I can put up with a lot of time consuming, awkward & clumsy banking for £2310 interest a year.😁1 -
I'd choose both, which I did, I want to make sure I'd always have access to at least one. Santander are well known for blocking payments.SuzieSue said:

In the past I sometimes had to scan the QR code more than once to logon, and that was frustrating. However in recent months I find it works 1st time every time. Perhaps it has been upgraded? It probably does take about 30 seconds more to logon than some other banks, but is that really a problem? Not unless you tend to logon several times a day I would have thought.3

Thanks all, just signed up. That was a darn sight easier than Santander. 👍0

Neither Santander nor Cynergy required documents to be sent in, but having applied for Cynergy today (to split cash across 2 accounts) I was then told I had to wait for up to a week for something to come in the post. Santander didn't do that.Expotter said:I don't have a problem with it, takes me about 10 seconds. And I like the fact that they process payments on the same day, unlike others where it's next working day; also if you're a new customer it's easier to open than Santander (id verified electronically, no documents required).2 -
Santander tell me I have a closed account from 7 years ago and because the addresses are different I have to post in all this information, such as Id, proof of address, change of details form 🙄msallen said:

By the time they receive it, process it and then send both letters to me it will probably be a month or more as royal mail is basically in strike most of November.
