I have had the same thing! My box finally arrived but I had to come across London to pick it up when I had other plans. It's been a nightmare from start to finish & my day today (& my Mum's have been spoiled as we have had to cancel some of our plans)

No because I was expecting it over a week ago they were sending it to my work address & I was supposed to be taking my mother out for Eid lunch (& giving her her present) but now I've had to come from West London to East London on my day off & my Mum will not be meeting me until much later which is annoying me
nothing to see here, move along...
  • Alas, I don't have the energy to get stressed anymore. The Sweden trip is now spoiled by those twa-ts .. time to hang the phone up and ask the bank to get the money back.

Hope you enjoy the day later.

Thank you - good luck with it all anyway - you sound a lot more laidback with me. God Jul!

  • I am majorly unimpressed by IWOOT.

I have used them in the past with no problems but this year has been a nightmare.

I called on Wednesday to chase up my order and was told it had been sent 6 days before. I called again Thursday as it had still not arrived and explained it was going to my OHs work address and they were shutting the next day for 2 weeks. Was told to call again Friday if it had still not arrived and items would be resent priority courier so I would have them by Xmas Eve. Items didn't arrive so called again Friday and was told basically it's tough luck and I'll need to wait till after Xmas, then if they consider the parcel lost it will get resent. Apparently the girl who told me it would get resent priority should not have told me that. I argued my case but they didn't back down. I was told I was lucky my parcel had actually been despatched the day I ordered it!! Maybe they shouldn't advertise super fast delivery then! It turns out that their super fast delivery is RM 1st class. I asked to speak to a manager and my mobile number was taken as no one was available but unsurprisingly no one has called me. Luckily my step mum is ok about waiting for her present but that isn't the point
  • Just to let you know my parcel arrived via royal mail today (they must be doing Sunday deliverys to catch up). I am very surprised and was very pleased until I opened it.

I ordered some remote control planes and ordered the expensive ones and I was sent the cheaper ones. When I ordered and each time I checked the site the expensive ones were in stock.

I'm not impressed at all by IWOOT. I ordered from play, firebox, game, and amazon all at the same time as IWOOT and the items were here by 15th Dec at the latest.

I won't be using them again.

to be fair going by the parcels in the rm system these companies maybe suffering by extreme demand
okay no help now but if they have been fine before maybe give them the benifit of the doubt

Fair point but they didn't dispatch my items for 11 days, that is their fault and problem not RM.

Not dispatching quickly, poor customer service and sending out the wrong items is
IWOOTs fault not RM. They should have been better prepared or if demand got too much shut the site down and stop taking orders for a day to catch up.

I have my own business and had double my Christmas business from last year and I had to get in new staff quickly to cover the work. If I can do it, surely IWOOT can.

I don't blame the RM. It's IWOOT that I'm blaming. I ordered stuff from play.com, firebox and IWOOT the same day. Everything else arrived by RM by Wednesday 19th. Play.com send their stuff from Jersey and it's arrived faster than from England. TBH I'm not convinced they posted my stuff the day they say they did.
