Is it possible to go in branch to organise a transfer/withdrawal or does it have to all be done online?  I just don't know if it would be easier for me to go in branch (despite it not being super close) to get all my money out rather than risk it being blocked and having all the faff of the 2 hour long phone calls getting it released again.
How much and, if a lot, why in one go?
I used to make about £15K transfers from my Santander current account without any problems. The limit for one faster payment is £25K, the daily limit is £100K.

Cashiers handled one without appointment when I got blocked depositing to Chase. Took about 20 mins though. They too photocopies of ID in the back.
  • Second monthly interest credit (£71 and pennies) has been added to my account today, although it shows tomorrow’s date, Monday 12th December 2022.
  • Same here. Interest appeared earlier this morning 11th, but dated the 12th.

It's going to be interesting to see if there's any changes to 2.75% with any BoE rate changes this month and February

I'm with Santander 123 and at the moment most of % on DD's are going up as is the % on the main account. I also have the esaver at 2.75% and not expecting it to go down.

Do you have details of the DD cashback % increases?

Of course I do, I wouldn't state it if I didn't.. one of my cash backs went from 2% to 4% I believe it was time limited but went up just the same,  the main account went up to 1.75% recently

Ah you mean the temporary 2 month energy cashback increase for September and October.
I thought I had missed a future increase, as you used the term:

most of % on DD's are going up
