Someone mentioned previously that transfers are limited to £25k per transaction and £100k in total per day. The following info about their current accounts would seem to back that up...Topiary said:Am now looking too mostly empty the account and move to a longer fix elsewhere.
Anyone know what is maximum withdrawal value for this account?
Thanks

You can make single payments in Mobile and Online Banking of up to £25,000 from your current account for free. The maximum amount you can make in payments in 24 hours is £100,000.
Payments usually arrive at the destination as soon as they leave your account, but sometimes they can take up until the end of the next working day.
Make a large payment
If you want to send payments over £100,000, you can do so with a CHAPS payment.0 -
got a call back from Santander today re my complaint re account being blocked and having to visit a branch twice. She didn't want to know the background, just offered a compensation of £40 for my trouble which I gladly accepted.

Or was it a "good will gesture" as businesses like describe these things, as compensation has very different implication in legal terms that they want to avoid when paying out for inconvenience.TomDolan said:got a call back from Santander today re my complaint re account being blocked and having to visit a branch twice. Still not opened my account over a month from applying, I noticed some previous comments were of Aldermore Bank offering 3% Easy access. Looking at their website they have withdrawn this product but can anyone recommend a current high rate offering from a high street or reputable provider?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I finally got access today to the savings account I opened on 12 October, following a long call to Customer Services yesterday. Apparently, the hold-up was somehow caused by my having an Abbey National joint account 20 years ago, and some disparity between how their system referred to flats back then and now.
The interest was paid on the 13th, for the record.1 -
Is it possible to go in branch to organise a transfer/withdrawal or does it have to all be done online? I just don't know if it would be easier for me to go in branch (despite it not being super close) to get all my money out rather than risk it being blocked and having all the faff of the 2 hour long phone calls getting it released again.0

I've made loads of withdrawals ranging from 10 quid to multiple large withdrawals of 10 to 15k to fund a one year bond. All to my lloyds DD account, never had an issue. I was messaged a one time passcode for the large withdrawals.andyhicks88 said:Is it possible to go in branch to organise a transfer/withdrawal or does it have to all be done online? Do it online, but early enough so that if it doesn't work and you get the "fraud" messages, go into branch then.
No point going in if it would have gone through anyway.

I am sure you can do it in Branch but you might have the wrong expectation if you think it would save you time. You'd probably have to make an appointment as it is not something the cashiers will handle.andyhicks88 said:Is it possible to go in branch to organise a transfer/withdrawal or does it have to all be done online?
