I've once posted something to someone that lived nearer than my nearest post box! I took 'my area' to mean the first half of your post code, even if they mean the letter(s) only, to ensure a sample of the country, I always thought you had to post in your own first half of postcode.

I'm not sure where that comes from. I first joined the panel through Kantar about 25 years ago. Even then they made it pretty clear in the instructions you could post anywhere in your area where the initial post code letters matched - in my case I was living in London NW10 and could post in any NW postbox.

I got told off once for posting in XX7 rather than XX6!

AFAIK you get a presentation pack and a set of stamps when you start and then a book of stamps at the start of each month that you are live (even if you go on your rest period partway through the month). The two panels I've done were March to September and then February to August so a little over six months and then a five month rest period but not invited back on yet.

No, you can post anywhere so long as the initial letters are the same, they all go to the same mail centre to be sorted anyway (although some are collected by local posties and some postboxes with later collections are taken straight to the mail centre)

Instant news confirms this on the app

    No, never.

I must have done the Kantar survey more than a dozen times and relatively frequently would not use DE21.

I all but deliberately went out of my way to spread my posting locations around and had some NONE DE21 post boxes in my list of registered "favourites" (Or whatever Kantar designated them as)

If I went into town it would be DE1, visit my parents DE24, brother or sister DE72. Occasionally DE23 at my brother in law and sometimes a distant DE just because I was going that way. I'd say that 20% to 25% of my postings were not inside DE21 and never ever had any questions raised.

Nothing changed when Spectos took over other than it's now only 10% - 15% but that's down to my own personal circumstances changing.

    Kantar or spectos?

If I'm working that day I always post near work (a couple of miles away and in a neighbouring district) as it's a post office with a later lat.

I was put on rest period at the end of last May 2025 and not been put back on yet due to no spaces currently in my area. Has anyone else been waiting to get back on the live posting panel. At least with Kantar it was 6 month on 6 month off.
