I’ve been resting since last April - even the CD and UA have dried up. I’m almost out of large letter stamps!NBLondon said:
This doesn't bode well... My rest period ended on Boxing Day and I was expecting to restart in January. However I'm doing UA and CD together at the moment so at least some points on the way.MABLE said:Rest period finished in September 24 and no sign of being invited back on the live panel. However the other surveys are quite frequent.1 -
I'm just waiting to see if I restart within the next fortnight as e mail requested (which I accepted). Still sitting at red on App so will see.0

I live in the Cotswolds in a small market town so I assume spaces are very limited.NBLondon said:

MitM?
BotW?
Moreton-in-marsh (no t)
Bourton on the water (has a farmers' market only so not really a 'market town as such)
Full list of cotswold markets here;

All nice places to visit if anyone's offering accommodation.1 -
Giving too many location clues is probably not a good idea. If Spectos do monitor this thread and there are really only a limited number of people on the live panel in your area, you are giving away big clues to your identity.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Yes, if they query anything I just say I'm dropping it off for a friend who knew I was going into town/passing the PO.

Although if it's a small subpost office, you can expect them to scratch their heads and look baffled about what they need to do. That's what happens at mine, anyway.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
I am absolutely sure they monitor this thread. I have sent a test letter to someone who posts here. I identified them by just a couple of things they said.silvercar said:Giving too many location clues is probably not a good idea. The last Spectos newsletter was saying they have had a larger amount of Mailagents being identified by Royal Mail as they are letting the postie know they are part of the survey. We then get people posting here that they have been resting for a long time. Maybe that is why.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. I once sent a test letter which I suspected was to someone here - the username and the uncommon surname being a possible link.HonestJohn said:I am absolutely sure they monitor this thread. I have sent a test letter to someone who posts here. I identified them by just a couple of things they said.
Letting the postie know? Only if they have a regular who they recognise maybe. More likely postie recognising the repeated similar parcels. Presumably then postie reports up the line to their managers? The Kantar guidance was that you would then be removed from the panel and notified not just left resting indefinitely.HonestJohn said:The last Spectos newsletter was saying they have had a larger amount of Mailagents being identified by Royal Mail as they are letting the postie know they are part of the survey. I know my previous postie was fully aware. Not from anything I had said but just because the letters and parcels are so bleeding obvious. Those transponders in the envelopes are a complete giveaway, as were the cubes when it was Kantar. They'd have to be particularly daft not to notice, to be honest.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

It's true that Spectos are partly to blame. They make no attempt to vary the parcels we receive. My postie once said about getting a lot but I mentioned ebay to deflect him.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0
