Thanks. I've got an acceptable price. It's those pesky large letter stamps - not much use and they don't achieve great money. Lucky they didn't cost me anything.

  • I use them on parcels as I send quite a few.
  • Do Spectos now object to items being posted the night before? I now have to answer a question about why I didn’t post on the correct day, with there being no option of posting night before to meet last collection the next day (and I have to type that in every time).

With most last collection times now being 9am and 7am on Saturday, it’s a very small posting window if they now want them posted same day.

I am yet again arguing about not being paid for an unaddressed mail survey.

”If the points weren't credited to your account, then there must be missing reports on that survey.”

Nope, I doublechecked every day this time to make sure. They were all on there.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

That is why people, including me, stopped doing the unaddressed!  When pressed they told me that they have a software error where it shows as completed when there is data missing! They did send me a spreadsheet extract with gaps, but I knew I had sent everyday. If you keep pushing they will eventually give you the points, claiming it is a “goodwill” gesture.

Just post items on the day requested and log the correct time.

Pay no attention to the last posting time listed on the post box.

But their instructions very clearly state (in bold text) that it has to be posted before the last collection time so that doesn’t seem right either.

Agreed. Their software writers aren't in tune with their rules and no one seems to be checking.

I just want an easy life. If I've forgotten to post something, I post it the following week, unless it is a parcel that needs to go to the Post Office, in which case I post it when I am near as I don't want big parcels sitting around my house. I always make sure I record accurately where and when I've posted. If this doesn't follow their guidelines exactly I'm not bothered.

I also have stopped doing unaddressed as the effort involved is greater than correctly addressed and more often than not I had to chase for points on unaddressed. So unaddressed is not worth the hassle.

As I said, easy life. If it isn't good enough for Spectos they can decline my participation. But they haven't done so yet.

    That is the ideal, yes.
But it is more important that you log the correct time even if it's late rather than pretending you sent it before last collection  - not saying that you would but , that is something they and Kantar have always said. So the night before for a 7 am post box as long as it's well past the time that they would collect is what I sometimes do. 10pm when I'm walking the dog works for me.
