If/when you move, you must instruct the PPC and BWL to erase your old address and replace it with your new address for service.

I would report them to the iCO for not having a proper contact e-mail address for the DPO, rather than a laborious process of having to use a portal!2

I got a reply on Monday with following content:This email address is no longer a valid email address to contact BW Legal. Your email has not been received. It is being returned as undelivered and we have not received any information from you.And then got another email confirm the update:
Thank you for contacting BW Legal.
We can confirm your address has been updated. So at least one email address worked.

Are you able to tell us which email address worked?

Unless the "invalid email address" response was received immediately, ie. an auto response, it was definitely received and is simply a mendacious attempt to deflect the sender from their right to respond to legal matters that BW Legal are supposed to be dealing with.
Any supposed "auto response" that takes more than a minute or so to be sent has most likely bee seen and responded to by a human using a template. Stating it has "not been received" is simply a lie.
On a slightly different matter regarding their email, and I'd have to do a bit more research, BW Legal are using an email handler, Barracuda Networks, that uses a mail server based in the US. This may have some implications regarding GDPR.
If a firm of supposed solicitors want to play silly games by being vexatious and refusing to accept emails, they need to be sure that they are being truthful and following every possible rule and guideline if they don't want to be hoisted by their own petard.2
