I asked about the £66 today and she said I can see on the above screenshot bill that it’s taken off the bill and they don’t put it into bank accounts. But to me I can see it was a credit then a debit so I haven’t had it? But she kept on that I have had it in that bill so lost why I would get the same amount taken back off me
... is there another page to your bill that shows the balance at the end..?

  • As you brought forward a debit from the previous bill of £45.25 it would appear you were underpaying even at the end of the summer, so your regular £161 DD plus the government rebate is unlikely to cover autumn and winter usage.

As above, what was your "Ending Balance"

So I’m just a bit confused where the £66 has gone.? As I see it there that they did give it… but then raised a debit and took it back off ?
  • Check your bank account in 3 working days, it does say REFUND.

As I said above I have phoned them and they have told me twice now they don’t refund to bank with Scottish power it goes onto your Scottish power account and they said they have credited my account in the statement I have shown you, but I see at the same time they took it back but they said they haven’t. Yet it’s black and white written, so it isn’t in bank and won’t be going into bank
  • @dr78 a simple search reveals this page

    https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/blog/cost-of-living

Which has this information (my bold)

Keep in mind that the timing and method of payment will depend on how you pay your electricity bill:

    • If you pay by monthly Direct Debit, the discount will be issued as a refund to your bank account after we’ve collected your Direct Debit.
    • If you pay by credit or payment card, the discount will be automatically applied to your energy account during the first week of each month and you’ll see the discount on your next bill.
    • If you have a smart prepayment meter, we’ll automatically apply the discount to your meter in the first week of each month.
    • If you have a traditional prepayment meter, we’ll send you vouchers every month by email or post.  You can then simply take your voucher to any PayPoint outlet to have the value added to your payment device.
  • You could have saved yourself a lot of time by actually reading their website !

As I have told you they have told me they ARE NOT doing refunds to banks. Why would they keep telling me they aren’t if they are. They said their system on how they are doing it is decided this way and everyone I know also on Scottish power also DID NOT have it go into the bank all have had it go onto their account with Scottish power!!! I’m not making it up what I am told lol

even this morning they confirmed once again it’s not going to bank account and it’s gone onto my account for credit . They said the written info online is inncorrect as it is from august before it was finalised what was going to happen and they just haven’t updated it . I don’t think they know themselves it seems if it’s been sent to my account or not as they have told me every time it’s not going to my bank . They said they have credited my Scottish power account on the 1/10 with it and it’s took it off my balance but it’s not and it’s definitely not gone into my account

So assuming that what you have been told on the phone this morning was correct then, what did they say when you asked why the £66 was shown as credited and then immediately debited again?
