Re the Credit / Debit - that is correct. You should find the £66 in the bank from which your DD came fromNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
-
That would be correct wouldn't it? You gave them a reading at the end of 30/9, so they used this reading to provide your bill. The £66 debit is because it's a refund - ie, it's gone to your bank.0

With Scottish power they said it goes onto the bill. Nothing has gone into the bank account0

They frustrate me as keep giving me estimated bills yet I have a smart meter… so is it correct for them to charge from the 30/9 for the higher charges rather than the 1/100
-
Does your smart meter still work with Scottish Power? I have a smart meter but it has never worked so still have to give readings.0

Yes apparently they can see my readings daily so no idea why they keep doing it 😭 not sure if they told me incorrectly over where the energy refund goes then as they told me it will automatically go onto my billing and will then lower my balance.0

I didn’t give them readings. The customer read ones aren’t my reads that is them going into it manually to change it themselves as I moaned they are using estimates . Only readings I give was the 5/10Astria said:That would be correct wouldn't it? so frustrating all this lol I rang today to ask why my bills are being estimated and she couldn’t answer and kept talking over me to where I got nowhere and she hung up on me lol so have had to come here to seek some help instead 😂0 -
I don't think they have - I understand that readings are considered to be at midnight on the day in question, or should be the midnight reading if you have a smart meter. Looking at the standing charge for 30/9 - 5/10 they have charged 5 days standing charge, not 6 as it would be if it included both the days of the 30th and the 5th. If one charge was shown as ending on the 30th and the other was shown as starting on the 1st - rather than a single point of changeover - it would lead to other confusion.dr78 said:They frustrate me as keep giving me estimated bills yet I have a smart meter… so is it correct for them to charge from the 30/9 for the higher charges rather than the 1/10
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I asked about the £66 today and she said I can see on the above screenshot bill that it’s taken off the bill and they don’t put it into bank accounts. But to me I can see it was a credit then a debit so I haven’t had it? But she kept on that I have had it in that bill so lost why I would get the same amount taken back off me0
