Eon next comms

Eon not replying...
In current times and with my energy bills down but other bills rising I'm not minded to lend out money, I'm a pensioner working part time to make ends meet and £220 is a lot of money to me right now.
If they don't reply I'll cancel the gas DDM, I'm sure that will attract their attention
After the first £66 grant plus £9 ddm my electric that account is just pennies in credit and will accrue £15/£20 per month

Did you get the £100 by asking them, or was it automatic? I'm with Eon next , just for electricity, and am now £720 in credit, which grows every month, even in winter. I'm not sure if they do an annual review and refund , and if so, when.
Communication seems pretty much impossible.1 -

A review of your monthly payment that checks to see if the amount you’re paying is right or not. It’s as simple as that.
Every time we bill your account, our system will automatically review your current payments to make sure you’re paying the right amount. If we notice that your monthly usage is higher than the payments you’re making, we will send you an email to advise that your payments need to increase.
You may also receive this email if the credit amount you have built is too small - so you don’t fall into debt over the coming months.
The email will explain how you can get back on track to ensure your account is where it should be. This will be done by either increasing your current payments to cover your ongoing usage and pay off the debit balance over the course of 12 months, or making a one-off payment to clear the debit balance and increase your monthly payment so that it matches your ongoing usage.
This is our first line of defence to prevent you building a large debt on your account - but it is your money, you’re in control.

Take your credit off the cost and divide by 12. You then have something to discuss with E.oN Next. Bear in mind that average consumers on the Ofgem Capped tariff this time last year will pay twice as much for their energy: that is, costs have risen by 95% in a year.
£700 may seem a lot of credit but Winter costs have yet to hit our bills.0 -
I'm on a fix until 2024. I'm sure my use is higher in the winter. The lights would be on for longer etc. But I don't think it will be much higher. Hot water, heating, and shower from combi boiler.

I have a £700 credit with EonNext. My DD since April was £112 but has been reduced to £45 with the Govt contribution.Curiously Eon hasn’t increased my DD to reflect the Oct 1 rates increase. I’m assuming that’s because they expect my credit surplus to cushion me through winter.0

So people starve while they earn interest? Now we all know how it felt to play in the band on the Titanic...0 -
I asked Eon.next for a refund of excess credit at the end of August and this was done, although it took over a week. I made my request by email.Reed1

What’s your annual usage (in kWh). I’d expect a gas account to have a fairly large credit at this time of year. Also remember last winter was very mild so expect your usage to increase this winter. If you cancel your DD then your prices will increase.0
