Ditto, and my reduced DD was taken on the 5th, still to be credited to my Eon account. That usually takes 4-5 days to show.

Unlikely if they've reduced your DD by £66 though, as you'd then be £66 short.molerat said:
EDF will credit it to your energy account and once the DD has cleared into the account they will debit your energy account by the £66 and transfer it to your bank. Precisely what they said they were going to do.Swipe said:
I just checked my EDF app and they have also credited my account even though my DD is more than £66. I've been waiting for it to go in my bank account as they advised. I wish they'd stick to the script. The EDF app however has still yet to update my credit balance to reflect the £66 payment.robyn_ said:I pay EDF by 'budget Direct Debit monthly' which should mean they pay it into my bank account.
I Logged onto my energy account yesterday, to submit meter reading, and noticed they had credited it to my energy account and not paid it into my bank account - so worth a check to see if this has happened.

That was not explained correctly in the only email I got from them regarding the matter:molerat said:

They will of course be adding the £66/67 to your Octopus account balance as well.SAC2334 said:Octopus appear to be working it differently than crediting £66 into someones account. My usual direct debit is £100 a month , so Octopus have taken the £67 actually , not £66 and simply lowered my direct debit to £33 a month .It amounts to the same thing as crediting an account £67 into the bank.

On their websiteYour payment method How you'll receive your energy discount Budget Direct Debit (Monthly) An automatic refund payment will be made within five working days of your normal payment date. This will be paid into the bank account your Direct Debit payments are taken from.

I am with Octopus and on a 2 yr fixed tarrif since April 21. I pay a £66 DD monthly. I checked just now and they have credited my account (not unhappy with this at the moment).
However yet again my SmartMeter2 readings cannot be read!!!!! What a fiasco SM2 is.......back to manual readings0 -
Think about it. Everybody will get it credited into their energy account from the government.
Then it's up to each energy supplier how they give this to the customer, either by lowering the DD by £67 or taking the normal DD and refunding £67 separately to bank accounts.
