How the EBSS works

• Energy suppliers will apply the discount to each household they supply electricity to in monthly instalments over a period of six months starting from October 2022.

• If we supply your electricity on the 1st of each month, we’ll apply the discount of £66 in October and November and £67 from December to March 2023.

• This discount is only applied to electricity accounts and will be provided by whoever supplies your electricity.

•There’s no need to contact us - you don’t need to apply or sign up to receive the discount and you don’t have to pay it back.

MSE have posted a more complete description - including the variations in mechanism of effectively returning the cash to DD payers - between different suppliers.

Still no refund in my bank and no reply to my email

I got an email and text yesterday saying it has been refunded it may take a couple of days to reach my bank, that was 9 days after my dd went out.

received in bank today My payment went out on 3rd and payment went in 11/10. So glad i dont have to contact them on phone. No reply from my email sent a week ago
