Yep they seem to have done the same with me and want to increase DD. I am gonna ignore it all now but it doesnt help when they are not contactable for 5 days. I know i am paying enough and gonna wait til they reply. The 400 is just goning to be absorbed by my £2880 annual bill and means i will be slightly ahead come the spring21k savings no debt1

My DD went out to SP on the 3rd October.I have received neither a credit on the account ,or a refund into my bank account .
They are also trying to up my DD when I am nearly £500 in credit now. They can whistle 😀1 -
My dd goes out on the 1st every month so far not received a refund, but they have put my dd up £50 a month. I don’t see why sp can’t just add the funds to my account rather than refunding it.1

Saga said:SP has passed the first EBSS payment to my energy account. This seems to contradict the information they have published for customers (https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/ebss ):I've always paid by monthly DD on the first of the month. October's DD payment (still at the higher pre EPG rates (but that's a whole other story in itself!) taken by SP is greater than the £66 EBSS seemingly credited to the energy account not my bank account. However according to SP's info above the money should have been credited to my bank account. There is no pending payment or other balance difference showing on my bank account. This is annoying as I'll have to try to claw the EBSS back as a refund when SP does its annual review at the end of January 2023. I've had lots of issues with the refund process in the past so not too amused with this situation.

@Froglet Thats exactly what happened to me I ended up submitting reads to bill account up to date. Well i have a statement now (on line account) showing the 66 with a balance that reflects that But the balance on my statement is out by 66 on my online account. Checked bank account and not gone there So who knows I am hoping it will appear in my bank account. They should be replying to my email by Monday so hopefully will know more then. Also on my new statement it confirms 2888 annual usage But still saying 250pm not enough and wants 274pm I think SP has a broken computer21k savings no debt1
