£13,500 on a credit card is an expensive way to borrow money, saving is the cheapest way and the most sensible0

Most CC's would allow you to either cash a cheque or transfer from the CC account. Obviously you will pay for the privilege and this assumes you're not exceeding your CC limit.
As Henry eludes to though - not particularly sensible. I would suggest your timings abit off too.anger, denial, acceptance0 -
if we can pay the amount by credit card
You should probably ask the Solicitor whether or not they can process Credit Cards...............they will probably expect you to pay their processing costs, and it won't speed up the process as it could be many days before the money actually reaches your solicitors account.......probably far longer than it takes a cheque to clear
There is no legal reason I can think of why you can't, although your lender ( assuming you have one ) will probably want to know if you are using the CC to borrow the deposit rather than just using the card to for payment'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
if your purchase has been going on for 3 months how come you didn't plan the payment of the deposit?
if you're struggling to make the payment then maybe some on a credit card but def not too much, some from your savings, some from selling stuff, some from Bank of Parents. If you can't raise the deposit using the above - pull out!0 -
Why not just sell your children to rich arab? It would be less of a debt than £13.5k on CCs.Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!0

If you are going to do this Sara_Lee make sure you do a balance transfer onto a card which allows balance transfers into your bank account such as an Egg Money card. If you don’t you will end up with a ridiculous APR. Play it right and you could be paying less interest on your CC than your mortgage. Obviously this is all subject to how good your credit rating is.
Also make sure you can keep up the repayments, if you are struggling to save at the moment, imagine how hard it’s going to be to pay back your CC debt and a mortgage.0 -
Resorting to the credit card before you've even bought the house is really not a good sign. Are you sure you can afford a house!?? If one of you lost your job tomorrow, could you survive 3 months on 1 salary? What about if the boiler went, and you needed another £2k immediately? Could you get it, or would you have to borrow a job-lot of blankets? One thing that you can be certain of in life is that things rarely run smoothly or as you expect them to.0

!!!!!!.
With people like this around, no wonder we are in such a mess.
I really do despair.dolce vita's stock reply templates
#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing0 -
I am hoping (really hoping) that you mean would it be faster for you to pay by credit card, than transfer your deposit out of a high interest postal/telephone/offshore
account?
Then, as another poster says, it may take just as long, and you might have more fees to pay if you pay by credit card (not to mention the interest on the card)
Speak to your bank and your solicitors to find the fastest way to get your money to them.0
