Just looked on the application link and it’s got the wrong house number. Great start.
  • Broker emailed us to confirm Desktop valuation was carried out yesterday. Hopefully that’s the final step ie they wouldn’t do that unless happy with every other aspect of the application?
I’d also like to know the answer to this.

although i suspect the marginal effort to do a desktop valuation probably means they’d do it whilst still underwriting?

NatWest valuation - is usually instructed at the initial assessment stage, prior to full underwriting (a small number of applications will not require full underwriting).

Did you apply on the Sunday? Still on the assessing application stage here.

Lucky I rang them a couple of days ago I don’t think they had even started looking at it.

Second time I’ve had to ring them to find out what’s happening said they would escalate it again. Making me worry a bit! Anyone had the same? Didn’t go through broker just website.
  • Finally got our offer last Friday, 8 December.

Originally submitted Sunday 2 October (paid broker to submit on the Sunday as I was made aware via this thread that rates were going up on Monday 3 October).

So it took more than 2 months to come through, after seemingly endless piecemeal underwriting, but we’ve secured 5y @ 4.24% which I am happy with in the current climate and given our likely position, affordability etc for the medium term.

Thank you @K_S for that initial heads up. Really appreciate it and it has made a real world difference to us.

Now just to make sure we actually complete on the move…
