The original tarrif rate now shows a reduction to around 42p and 10.55p.
They said on the phone today this will again be reduced to the EPG figs when they work through everything, they have been busy. It was mentioned it would happen as shown below.
EON Next are now looking at moving those that fixed at a high rate onto SVT/EPG
Just in case you missed it on the EON Next thread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/79530559#Comment_79530559)
I did miss it, been a bit busy with something else important which I had more control of 😊.

Thank you for the heads up, appreciated.
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes,  thank you and no.

    Thank you.

Well mine changes to SRv20 tomorrow and I've still not heard anything despite their website promising they will contact customers "in the coming days" for nearly a month now.

But in my account it does look like they have lowered the prices for the SRv20 fix:

    Electricity
1 Year Smooth Renew v20 Direct Debit version

    43.70p/kWh / 41.66p/day
    (All rates inc. VAT)

    Gas
1 Year Smooth Renew v20 Direct Debit version

    10.64p/kWh / 27.22p/day
    (All rates inc. VAT)

So I'm assuming I don't need to change to the SVR.

Yeah mine are similar however these rates are still higher than SVR. So either they lower them further or we're better off changing?

Have a look at my post on the 5th with the attachment and the post following it.

Then, let us know what you think 👍

The communication from Sainsbury's has been disappointing, even EDF (whom I believe to be the worst company ever) have sent out informative emails a good while back.

    Thank you.

I had the same rates, if you change to the SVR they'll come down further, to about 34p/kWh, but you most likely will lose the £66 discount on your DD if you do (but you'll still get the payment).

Yep one person also told me on twitter that they will lower further to match epg. But I haven't had official comms from sainsburys to confirm this, 2 other customer service people told me different, so I'm finding it hard to believe it. Plus I'm already being charged the higher rate as my transfer to v20 started today. So whether they'll compensate/bill the lower epg rates who knows.

I would rather stay on a fix if it'll match epg, just in case. So I'm trying not to switch to variable

The My Account screen now doesn't show anything under "Tariffs" and there is no option to change tariff so I guess I'll just wait for them to contact me

Been the same for a while, no options at at all so it suggests they will eventually drop the rate again. It's a bit of a messy way to go about it but I'd rather have it than not. If you missed my post above, they told me they will be doing so.

I can only assume lots of people are changing tariffs at the moment which is messing things up and causing them more work, so they've removed the option, but all that's going to do is cause more people to contact customer services to request a tariff switch :D
As long as they don't expect you to pay the higher rate for the amount of time you spend on the fixed rate tariff.

An update on this situation. I logged into my account today to find no tariffs listed. I asked them on Twitter and she's saying "Looks like your fix has been revoked, shall I move you onto SVT"?

Firstly, can they even revoke my fix without telling me?! Last I heard they were reducing the fix rates in line with the EPG, so staying on a fix in this case would be my preference.

Secondly, has this happened to anyone else or are there people out there still on V20 smooth renew?

    thanks
