Hopefully a straight-forward question, has your supplier told you what your rate and standing charge will be, is in on their website, are you able to guess based on the govt price guarantee or do you still have no clue?

Naming and giving kudos or naming and shaming welcome.

I am with EDF on their May 24 go electric tariff that has three options on the electricity rate.  I have no clue what the rates will be from 1st October despite asking via a 'contact us' email a week ago.
    I think....

You need to add another to that, people who are still on a fix and know.
In my mind I had them as being in the 'I can guess based on the rates published by ofgem' category but can add another category if you think they are a different group.

or 1/2 way house - supplier has info on website using the national "average" rates but has not yet communicated individual rates according to region (but has said that they are in the process of contacting all customers, GEUK) ...
So I kind of fall between the 2nd & 3rd options.
  • I can guess based on the rates published by ofgem
Octopus say they've contacted everyone on the SVT (the people who weren't overpaying) and will get to fixes and other tariffs.  I know what the rates would be if we went onto the SVT but don't know what - if anything - will happen with our current tariff.
  • I know the Ofgem SVT cap rates for the region. I don't believe I need make any guesses while knowing that info. . . .do I?
  • The info is on my supplier's website
I'm in the "as long as they inform me before I receive October's bill in November then I'm OK with that" camp.

    People worry far too much.

On a fix with E. On Next, E7 version with an unusually favourable day/night balance for those like myself whose night usage isn't very high. I am hoping that this will be maintained when rates are reduced. If it isn't, I shall be taking up with them the extraordinarily short notice of a change that is to my disadvantage/

I see your camp from the "doesn't really matter at this point, I'll deal with it later if they get it wrong" camp across the river.

Then there is also those who are on a fix and don't know... (GEUK "Sparkling" V6, but E7 rates so no idea how they'll work things until they tell us!)  Not a case of "worrying too much" (why must folk be so dismissive of other people's concerns?) more that I've already paid slightly over the odds thinking fine, it would offset against savings October on - but now it is possible that in fact I may well be cheaper changing supplier and heading back to the SVR. And my money is most definitely better off in my pocket than in an energy company's!
