2-solar, shine, beams, white
3-boltzmann
4-eluding, evasion, tannery, abscond, secrete
5-amputate
6-universal, postulate, axiomatic
7-tractor, combine
8-agony, acute, throe

I added "?" but not sure they're good candidates. Opinions welcome.
