EDF Meter reads

I'm still having trouble submitting an EDF gas meter reading. I tried several times yesterday evening and several times today. I can input my new reading but when I press "Submit" I get directed to a blank page. When I log into my account it says my last meter reading was 30th August so it doesn't seem to have accepted the new reading. The EDF website seems to be borked.0

Check the address bar - if it has thankyou in it then your read has gone through. I had that yesterday and my read updated today - although they have altered it in their favour, complaint submitted.

Thanks for that. It does show "thankyou" in the address bar but the fact that the page itself was blank and the older reading was showing on my account page did worry me. I do have a timestamped photo of the meter reading just in case.molerat said:Check the address bar - if it has thankyou in it then your read has gone through. They lowered my read so I pay for more at the higher rate even though I used it in the cheaper rate period. I pay more and they reclaim more from the government.Mobtr said:

So what read did you give & what read was registered on your account?molerat said:

The EDF website seems to be borked.Still is.Been trying for 4 or 5 days now to submit a meter reading to EDF. Had the same problem as you. I think quite a few other EDF customers have the same issue, judging by reviews beginning to appear on Trustpilot.I even gave my reading to customer services via "Chat" three days ago and was told it would be added to my account (I took a screenshot of the chat transcript). As of today, my EDF online account is still not showing the meter read I gave.Let's face it, I would wager that most of EDF's current energy customers didn't choose EDF as their supplier of choice. Ironic that the now defunct smaller energy suppliers seemed to have a more proficient customer interface (well, the ones I used anyway). Maybe the few remaining large energy suppliers didn't cope well with the sudden influx of new customers when the small fry went bust.0

Thanks for the heads up on this - I gave mine to an actual person over the phone on Friday - yet mine is also showing a HUGE underestimate now. I’ll give it a few days to see if the proper reading makes its way through but if not they’ll be getting a huge moan from me - the reading they’ve estimated is 00674 - my actual one was 00680 so in terms of our use that’s a big discrepancy!molerat said:Check the address bar - if it has thankyou in it then your read has gone through. It's such a simple thing to have an acknowledgement page and I'm sure they've had a lot of calls querying it that were unnecessary if some text had been there instead of the URL. I had exactly the same as you and it's done the same again this morning.Vendee said:
