Thankyou for the new thread @elsiepac, it's a real help to hear about how others manage, especially in these times of rising prices.
I've decided to increase my budget to £4.30 per day as the last couple of months almost everything that I buy regularly such as milk and frozen fruit has gone up in price more than once and I'd prefer to economise on other things than food.£133.30 for the calendar month for one moderately active vegetarian woman, this covers all food, household items and basic toiletries too.
Baking Budget is £5 per Wednesday which makes it £20 for the calendar month with a carried over bulk fund of £17.06.

Good morning All
Got two spends to declare. DH popped to L!dl on Thursday, picking up 2 YS quiche and a YS packet of breaded turkey fillets, some salad and treats for himself. £7.42 spent.
That left us with £16-ish to spend to get to the £2 off voucher for September, so yesterday I went back, on my way home from the dentist. Spent £22.94. The biggest shock to my wallet was the £4.99 spent on 800g of their extra mature cheddar, up from £3.59 in June!
Got a £2 coin in my change, together with a 5p and 1p. The £2 coin has gone into the “Running Away Fund’ money box (all £2 coins go there), the others into a “shrapnel” money box.
The above brings our total spend for October to £32.42/£147.60, leaving £115.18 for the rest of the month.
Meal plans for the next few days:
Today: breakfast, Black Pudding “McMuffins”; lunch, one of the L!dl YS quiche, dinner, pasta bolognese (to use up home grown tomatoes).
Tomorrow/Sunday: breakfast, Welsh Rarebit; lunch, wraps; dinner, Cuban Black Beans cooked in the slow cooker served with rice (uses some of the cooking bacon I bought yesterday).
Monday: breakfast = cereal; lunch = leftovers; dinner: stuffed peppers, using rice cooked on Sunday plus tinned tuna.
Tuesday: breakfast = cereal; lunch = leftovers; dinner: fake carbonara (made with cream cheese and bacon.)
Wednesday: breakfast = cereal; lunch = leftovers; dinner: ??

£69.74 gone already, on our "normal" weekly foray around the market & supermarket. I'll need to pop down to L!dls early next week but will aim to keep purchases to absolute necessities.

My month started from the 24th September this time round and I have done a big shop around a few places and my spend is already £85.14 out of the budget - oops! I have definitely noticed some big price rises in Mr A and the fact that the shelves are incredibly empty - I couldn't get any of the 45p rice this time around. The store was very busy though so that might be the reason.
I have very good stores currently so going to try hard to run them down before I do anything other than a top up shop. A few luxuries or non essentials were bought - the small one requested crisps for her pack up (we have just tipped over in too old to qualify for free school meals boohoo) she only has then a couple of times a week and compared to other kids lunches hers could be considered 'boring' so it's a fair trade - I got the huge 30 bag pack as this will last maybe 3 months. I also ventured to a discount store and purchased some H0rl1cks - we are big fans of a hot drink in the evening and with the colder months approaching and the heating staying off we may appreciate this. The last non essential was some cheap branded chocolate- 3 bars for £1 - this is for me and my weekend treat as I like a bar on a Saturday night whilst watching a film (I live a full life 😀)

Hi!
Thanks @elsiepac for running the challenge!
Our budget runs from 1st - 31st October and is for 2 adults (1 vegetarian), 2 teens (1 DF). It includes food as well as toiletries, alcohol, and cleaning products. It doesn't include dog food for our beloved pooch.
I've shaved off a further £5pw this month after the success of last month, so @elsiepac .......please put us down for £725
Thanks,
