  • Hi - I would suggest you contact Citizen's Advice who will be able to help you find a way forward.
  • Why was your electricity supply disconnected? Was this linked to an unpaid bill? The more complete info. you can give the better anyone will be able to try to assist you...

Tell us more of your story please -  there is a long and drawn out process which involves the courts before disconnection takes place.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Yes over a unpaid bill I have been querying for months and months they told me Tuesday to send all my meter readings etc done that

and they still turned up friday disconnected with a warrant

but tried to pay yesterday said won’t supply me find another supplier

    it’s a small business

I have 2 meters they told one doesn’t connect to anything but still charging my a daily rate for it
  • If they had a warrant then it looks like they have followed the correct procedure and you acted far too late.

With today's announcement regarding business support you may find it very difficult to find a supplier who will take you on as it will not be profitable for them.

Try phoning another supplier?  It sounds like that may be the remaining option.
Concentrate on getting reconnected, then look at getting the redundant meter disconnected.
But it sounds like independent advice may be a good move, Citizens Advice as suggested above would be a good idea.  Get together all paperwork and let someone independent look at it.
I don't believe Citizens Advice will cover business contracts?

They will provide advice to small businesses:

That said, I fear that the OP may have difficulty getting a new supplier without offering some form of deposit. Meanwhile, the old supplier will no doubt be looking at debt recovery options.
  • I am now thinking of handing shop back
to owner and setting a debt payment up

if landlord gives shop to someone else would they have problems setting up a electricity account becoz my debt

The new tenant will have a few hoops to jump through to prove they are not just you using a different name, but once they do that they should not be affected directly by your debt.
