I've somehow got this wrong. Have a CC with Lloyds so went via the app. Opened an account but no option to switch. I'm waiting on the phone as I don't want the account without a switch. I saw on the app' choose to switch at the end of your application' but all I got was account opened, nothing about switching? Club Lloyds account.
Follow the link in the first post of this thread, then

I have a Lloyds Bank current account

    Switch to an existing account

    1. Complete our simple online switching form
    2. Let us do the rest and our switch will be completed in seven working days
    Complete the Switching form

I have never had a Lloyds bank account before and applied at 6:00 pm on Tue 4th Oct. I got my activation code yesterday and set up the app and online banking.

My switch is not due to complete until Thu 13th Oct but I have just received my £150 in the account.

    That is impressive.

I Keep a list of all previous completed switches showing who (me or oh) date, from and to which bank.

    DATE              WHO                      FROM                        TO
    Oct 16            Me                           NatWest                      Lloyds
    Nov 17            OH                          Nationwide                  Halifax

    etc

When a new switch offer comes up I read the terms for any dates, check my list and see if eligible or not.

I do the same but not only with bank switches. :D
I write down also direct debit switches and all eligibility checks (date and outcome). Don't want to switch DD from one provider too often, for example the same credit card DD more than 2x a year, so I keep track of them all.

    Have I missed something then?

My switch completed days ago but I have still received nothing.

    I switched my TSB account.

It had a £0 balance ... but I never saw notice saying you needed to switch a positive balance
I brought over no direct debits ... but I never saw notice saying you needed any.
I've never switched to Lloyds before.

Just off the phone to them to see if I'd done anything wrong or maybe had switched and had for whatever reason forgotten I'd done it in the past.

The number they text me to phone was a Halifax number. So not helpful.

After messing about I get the Lloyds number & get through to a guy who asks when I switched. Told him the text for completion was 4th Oct.

He says it can take 10 working days to show in the account and then adds in a snotty - and it does say that on the website as well.

Well whup-tee-doo. I'd put money on it that I'm not the only person who didn't read that bit.

Though I'm sure everyone on this forum will have :)
  • switch not complete till 18th  but  money in the bank ,
Thats a good idea thanks muchly.. 😊
  • Has anyone upgraded to a platinum account to get switch bonus and then downgraded back to classic?
  • For this switch offer, am I reading it right that I don’t need to have a minimum balance, nor any direct debits?

can I also switch a Halifax account to Lloyds to qualify? As they’re part of the same group
