As you can see, I'm posting under a new name as I can't use my original.
I did something really silly, and made a comment about my employer on this site. After working for this employer for over 10 years, and giving it my all, I have now found myself potentially jobless, & I am worrying myself sick about how I'm going to pay the mortgage & other bills.
The comment I posted was tracked back to me as I have used this site a lot, and some jobsworth has spent the last month looking through ALL my previous posts & have hunted me down.
I have e-mailed Martin's team for some advise, but have not received a reply.
If I had stolen, or in any way disrespected my boss, then I could understand. But, all I did was post a comment before it became common knowledge.
Sorry to be so vague, but I have to be careful.
I am now at home, trying to be cheery for my 2 small children but cannot motivate myself in the slightest. I don't want to go out because, I'll probably end up spending money which I don't have. One minute, I'm OK, the next I find myself crying, and worry that I won't be able to stop.
Please, please help me. I don't know where to turn next.

Sorry I can't be more specific. I have spoken with my Boss, but, the decision is being made elsewhereblondie223 wrote: »Dont really know what to say hugs to you. Cant you speak to your boss about it it hard to advise without knowing what the comment was about.0 -
Sorry dont really have any solid advice but just to say sorry you are feeling like this and also i know people say this but worrying will only make you feel more anxious.
Can you not sit down with your bosses boss, have an honest and open chat and let them know how you feel, what context the comment was made in too. They must give you the chance to explain why it happened.
I really hope that they keep you but try not to worry i know easier said than done.0 -
Sorry to hear you are feeling so down. I know what it's like to be worried sick about work. It took such a toll on my life that I couldn't even eat. You have done the right thing by emailing the webs coordinators. Send another email and request that all your posts and anything to do with you be removed immediately.
Sorry to be dumb? but were you accessing MSE from work or home?
Best of luck and I hope it's all sorted before Christmas for you. If you have any doubts about the safety of your job start sending your CV out and you never know you may get something new in January. x

I am hoping so. However, I have heard rumours that 1 other staff member has been sacked due to making a comment on a social networking site, and I am worried that they will try & make an example out of me too...then surely this isn't a sackable offence if this is all you did. Would it not warrent a written warning?0 -
Thanks, I am hoping that I get the chance to do so very quickly, I think it will be unlikely this side of the new yearSorry dont really have any solid advice but just to say sorry you are feeling like this and also i know people say this but worrying will only make you feel more anxious.

I know what you mean about not eating, I couldn't face food for 3 days when it first happened. I only access the site at home, never from work. If it had been at work I could understand to a certain degree, but I didn't.
I have started looking for a new job, but not alot around at moment.0
