Morning,
I'm trying to talk myself into going for a run but it’s still dark and I do so much better when it’s bright outside. I’ll put the running gear on and do a bit of work first.
Today I have a few spends but only on necessities and mum’s papers. I don’t have a lot of plans apart from work and yesterday the postman collected 2 parcels, so hopefully my Vinted buyers will be happy. You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. Love that you've added your days to DFD on here

Morning
Yesterday I checked Black Friday deals but nothing grabbed me at all. I bought a new budget planner for 2023 but that was it.
I spent a fun but exhausting day with my niece and today I have a beauticians appointment, house to tidy and then going to see a friend who needs a hand moving stuff. It is payday on Monday and my only other plan is to work out my December budget. On Monday I will bring my overall debt to under £12,000 and that will be the 2023 target, to clear £12,000 in a year 😊.You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. That is a nice round target to clear £12k in a year. That would be amazing. I am impressed with your Christmas preparations and how organised you are. Morning
Well y’day put a lot of carp out the window - my Uncle took sick on Friday and with the help of my Aunt, his sister, I’ve been checking on him and making dinner etc, so it turns out he had a mild heart attack on Friday. My Aunt pushed him y’day to go to the clinic and he was sent straight to the hospital (turns out he suspected it was an angina attack but said nothing). We will know more after tests this morning but the doctors feel it could have been so much worse. I stayed with him to 10pm last night and will find out more today. So these scary reminders show how fragile life can be.
I know I’ve probably said it before but I need to get the balance right in my life. The debt will get paid off but I want to consciously slow down and focus on the important things. On budget front - a new shiny month 😊, my sister will be home before Xmas and each weekend will be something nice to look forward to 😊.You need to be content with small steps. Morning
I had a busy weekend and a few extra expenses with trips to hospital. Currently sitting in a tyre place as I’ve managed to pick up a puncture - honestly it’s been one of them weeks. Thankfully Uncle is on the mend and my puncture is easily fixed 😊.
money front - I’ve managed to make extra payments to my loan so that is currently at £8,986.34. I don’t think I will be able to make extra payments until after Xmas. My overall debt is just below £11,000, which is more than I had hoped to achieve when I started this diary 😊You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. Glad to hear your uncle is on the mend and it's a pain about the puncture, I had one a while back, was a screw! I blamed hubby as he had used my car to go to work
I think just by having a diary it spurs you on to overachieve on the debt payments. I certainly wouldn't have cleared as much if I hadn't made myself accountable with the diary.
Keep at it, you're doing brilliantly!

Thanks LMD - there is a lot of motivation on these threads which really spurs me on. I’m sure the puncture was your hubbys fault 😂.
Today I’m working this morning and then taking mum to a hospital appointment in Belfast - I’m getting to be an expert on all the hospitals in Belfast at this rate. This is for a scan and she should get her results in about 2 weeks - please god it rules out cancer.
money front - more hospital car parking expenses y’day and today. Today I’m going to update signature and I now have £11,000 to pay in a year …still scary but doable 😊

I think you'll be able to do the £11k in a year, we will all be rooting for you!
Hope your mum's scan rules out anything ominous, I spent the last 14 months having scans for tumours they found by chance, but they have eventually ruled out cancer and surgical removal as they have started to shrink now. It was a really scary time for a while so I can really empathise with what you're going through.
I also hope it doesn't take long for the results xLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £5678 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3188/£6000 | Travel savings £1924 | Sinking pots £21261
