I was just answering OP's electricity usage query - I think it's fairly safe to say that'll be around the 35p mark, give or take a bit.

check your total use over the last year to see if that is anything like the estimated use the energy provider suggest. (mine wasn't). Then calculate how much you would need to pay for your annual use based on the new rates in October. Your DD should be about 1/12th of that. Maybe 1/10th if you want to ensure you are covering winter use sufficiently. Don't let the energy company tell you that you have to be way in credit by about 3 months "to keep things safe". This is my (EDF) Gas (starts 01 October 2022) varies by region
Unit rate: 10.335p per kWh
Standing charge: 28.48p per day
and ElectricUnit rateElectricity unit rate: 33.72 pence
