I went for the 3.25% option on the 23rd sept , anyone know if the 14 day cooling off period allows me to cancel and move it to this option.0

Mine matures on the 11th and I was wondering about going with the 3.25% as well (which appeared on the letter they sent), and then suddenly when I was filling in the form today, there were those 4 - 4.5% rates (which were the ones I'd just seen for normal bonds, without an ISA option)!
I guess they're now just saving ISAs for existing customers.
I ended up choosing the 2-years 4.5% because I think than in one year things will have started to calm down and rates decreasing... Famous last words haha, but it's not a huge amount

Do you guys think 4% is likely to be the best it's going to get for a while?Has anyone who've closed their Maturity account and opened a Triple Access ISA tried to see if Nationwide could still offer accounts at those new rates?0
-
My fixed ISA actually matured today and I contacted them to ask what rate I'd be getting on my chosen 1 year fix and they confirmed that I'd automatically get the new 4% rate0

Virgin have just sneaked their 4% rates lower so they may feel rates won't go as high as they originally thought or possibly they have taken enough in for now. 4 % for a year is not bad, the penalty is reasonable. The 4.5 is not bad either but I don't like the penalty. I wouldn't need the access and perhaps there is not much scope on current predictions to go much higher. If there was 5% offered later, I wouldn't be too bothered, if we got to 6 or 7 unexpectedly, then that's hard luck and a bit gauling with 180 days loss if it was worth getting out.
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes, thank you and no.
Thank you.1
