Thank you for your comments and advice. I will be rereading them.
At this stage I am so damn annoyed with these delinquents that I am not shy of attending court. I would even like to enter a counterclaim for what amounts to unlawful harassment or whatever the correct legal term may be for having to endure multiple letters from debt collectors come through my letterbox each successive one ramping up the threat level. I am not shy to fight this disgusting behaviour.
That said, and in answer to a prior question,
Claim issue date: 12.09.22
AoS done online helped by my son submitted yesterday 18.09.22 stating I want to defend all of this claim0 -
Just also to clarify. The original fine was £100 increased to £160. They then added on 8% annual interest, a £35 court fee, and a £50 legal representative cost making a grand total amount of £314
I would like to submit the counterclaim N9B form in due course. What would be the maximum I could realistically claim taking their neglect, my age and the undue stress of harassment into account?
I also see there would be a counterclaim fee to be paid. Does this vary from case to case or court to court? And typical how much would such a fee be?
My thanks to all you great people who offer help and guidance to members of the public like me!0 -
Me again. My son has advised me to submit a DSAR to UKPC as we have chucked all the paperwork they sent years ago. He has done this for me but says we will be lucky to get a reply in time. They have 30 days to comply apparently0

No you need to do the sar with ID not your son to the parking firm
Neither do you need to wait as you have been given the defence to use
Crack on.2 -
I seem to recall the only counterclaims we've seen succeed were in the threads by @Nosy and @ellaro9 so click on those usernames and read their discussions in their Profiles.
You will see that it is possible to counterclaim but needs a proper argument in law.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Claim issue date: 12.09.22AoS done online helped by my son submitted yesterday 18.09.22 stating I want to defend all of this claimWith a Claim Issue Date of 12th September, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 17th October 2022 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
