Are you DanSky1 from another forum? Same MO, same unlikely [to say the least] sequence of events...

1. Give up driving.
2. Stop posting fake rubbish on internet forums.
3. Get a life (this includes option 2).9 -
Thanks everyone for the replies. I've reported it to both the police and my insurers now, awaiting responses. Can't say I'm looking forward to them. Will be collecting car from my mum's tomorrow, before taking it to be mended for £200. No doubt it will have a dead battery too. Also saw my neighbour and apologised, she said she hasn't decided what to do yet and is annoyed with me for just driving off but understands I panicked.0

Why would it have a dead battery after only a couple of days?
Sounds like you got off lightly with the neighbour0 -
Got to my mum's to pick up the car and have got a parking ticket, due to it being a permit holders only street. I didn't even realise this when I left it there.Grumpy_chap said:

My last car died a death after leaving it just for one day.
Yes I agree about the neighbiur.0 -
Cars don’t normally have flat batteries after a day of not being used. How do people manage park up for 2 weeks at the airport when they go on holiday?0

This gets more and more nonsensical: how precisely does the OP know that the damage will cost him £200 to repair? That's a very minor amount of damage. And he's conveniently forgotten the cost of paying for the damage to the neighbour's car.
Still, given that he apparently scraps cars on a whim, he's clearly not short of the money to pay for all this.No free lunch, and no free laptop
