My oldest Guernsey jumper was bought in 1975 = 47 years. I have several as we used to live there and most bought in jumble sales!0

Glad said:My daughter is 30 and when I was carrying her, I bought a cardigan in Liverpool, I still wear it whenever it's chilly
It's always been known as my 'cosy cardi' and is still in great shape
I have a Marks and Sparks navy half zip top which I bought to wear in the cold while I was pregnant with my second daughter. I remember the midwife complementing me on my new outfit and how it fitted over my bump. Nowadays it's worn in places and has lost some colour but it still keeps me warm in winter at home. It's 28 years old and going strong.

I had to think, my 50s wool pinafore dress. So warm in the winter.0

On really cold days I get out my late mum's lambskin coat. Daddy had it made for her when they were dating (mid 70's), because she didn't have a good warm coat. It fits perfectly and there's hardly a mark on it, but it does start to smell a bit stale if I don't keep hanging it on the line to air...I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.1

I have a denim jacket, with "fur" collar and cuffs, bought in the Debenhams 70% off sale almost 30 years ago. Still as good as new. My youngest DGD tried it on and has asked if she can have it as soon as it fits her! She's age 12 and tiny for her age and the jacket is an adult size 12 so I shall have to keep it a while longer before it's a snug fit on her!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"1

I have quite a few items from the 1990s that are rarely worn and similarly boots bought in 2002 that are worn more often.
I have a T shirt that was bought the week Princess Di died, now relegated to gardening/DIY but worn often. I have a 1980s era Burberry Mac that was a train commuting coat.
I rarely buy clothes now, I got a T shirt last Christmas and undies/leggings in the M&S sale a few weeks ago, that's it for 2022.0 -
My oldest is a camel coloured, pure cashmere, mid-calf length, winter coat .... very, very, very smart.
Bought it 34 years ago, in Harrods, was astronomically expensive and it's still worn !
Despite my style changing, through the years, it's still worn with whatever i wear these days !
Best value for money ever 👍👍👍👍👍1
