I find getting any feedback at all is more of a issue as 2/3rd,s of sales dont bother to leave any .
Sometimes they reply to my contact message I send stating the time and date that the parcel was sent via royal mail  but feedback is only 1 in 3 sales .

Feedback is pretty immaterial really once you have a fair few ratings- and there really isn’t any need at all to email buyers to tell them their parcel has arrived, it can be a cause of annoyance .

Same here. But then, leaving feedback is not obligatory and as I'm one of the 66% that don't usually leave feedback, I'm not worried whether or not others leave feedback for me, unless it's an unjustified negative.
  • As a seller on eBay, I only tend to leave feedback when the buyer has left feedback for me first.
I have the childish view that if you can't be bothered to leave me feedback once you receive your item, then I can't be bothered either (even though they paid first, but meh!) lol
  • My view would be.....'so what?'. I don't think it matters a jot. I have never decided not to buy an item because someone has negative feedback and a single negative wouldn't even register.

Just don't be tempted to leave any sort of reply to their feedback as the reply can often be more telling than the neg with some sellers.

Really? I was going to put that the neg was posted before I could offer a refund?
  • It's hardly worth the effort. Very few people read the feedbacks and even fewer read the replies. Feedback is there to satisfy the pedantic and to placate the angry.

If you were an unhappy seller then a negative feedback function is not even available.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of it that way before.

I would just respond politely to the negative feedback saying "clear description of item given. Please return for full refund if not happy" then just move on with your life.

The only time I'm put off a seller who has a negative is when the seller has replied rant and raving to the neg and comes across as a bit unhinged! A polite reply makes it look like the buyer was being unreasonable.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

See I'm the complete opposite. Granted I buy more than I sell on eBay, but if I have paid straight away, and you haven't had me contact you being a pain, disputing item etc, then I have fulfilled all my obligations and you should leave feedback. I wont leave a seller feedback is they are too lazy to do it for me (not that anyone really reads it)
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......
