It's Finally Happened - Got a Negative After 22 Years on Ebay!

Sold a small toy for £5, not a brilliant photo but fully described in the details. Buyer had left me negative feedback as the colour in the photo is off, without contacting me. I would have offered a partial/full refund - what ever they wanted.
Actually feel quiet upset! Stupid really.
So I have disputed the neg and offered a full refund, and got an auto  email back from ebay saying its now with the buyer.
Is there anything else I can do but wait?
I have sold 83 items this year (I'm just a private seller, I sell less than a grand a year), so my feedback is now 98.6% as it looks at just this year and not my entire ebay total. So does this mean that in a years time I'll be back to 100% (assuming the neg isn't removed)?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thats correct - although the negative won't be removed after 12 months, your feedback rating will go back to 100% (assuming you do not get any more negatives in the next 12 months).
I get how you feel - I remember getting a negative in the past and feeling really upset about it. You'll be over it in a couple of days I'm sure! ;o)

Don’t forget to block the buyer from buying again.

you can also report the buyer - if enough people do ...
  • If it means that much to you then contact the buyer and offer to reduce the price if the ffedback is revised. Someone once done that after I had left negative feedback so I did revise the feedback to positive.

Quite sad really. But you've probably realised now that some folk are never happy no matter what. I'm sure potential buyers will look at all your positive feedback as opposed to that only one negative.

Nah, that just feels like giving in to a scammer to be honest.

I agree, it might encourage people to leave unjustified negs in the hope of being bribed to remove them .

I find getting any feedback at all is more of a issue as 2/3rd,s of sales dont bother to leave any .
Sometimes they reply to my contact message I send stating the time and date that the parcel was sent via royal mail  but feedback is only 1 in 3 sales .
