Green Energy fixed tariff - what happens next?

It's lower but not by a massive amount. Given the customer service so far & the "green" aspect as a low user I may just elect to stay with them on the fix (until October 2023) even if it means that I am paying marginally more than a new SVT.Mstty said:I would reach out to Octopus via twitter or one of their email addresses to at least start a conversation with them prior to the announcement?
There are varying reports of between 9-10p per kWh for gas and 33-35p per kWh for electricity.
How does that fit with the fixes you all have with Green Energy?
Will await until all the details are out before making any decision.2 -
Similarly, I have a fix with GEUK (11p for Gas, 39p for Electricity). Shouldn't be massive difference from what will be announced, but waiting to see.Hopefully they'll introduce SVR, why not after all? They'll loose too many customers otherwise.1

I think you may be right. The vast majority of their customers will have signed up as an "insurance" against the cripplingly high winter price caps. If the price is capped lower than the fix that they signed up, most people will leave unless GEUK can match the rates elsewhere.George_Am said:Similarly, I have a fix with GEUK (11p for Gas, 39p for Electricity). I hope it works out for them because their customer service is second to none and I don't want to have to switch again unless I really have to.1
