Crikey there must be something about this seaside. The outbreak of war was announced when my Grandparents, Dad and siblings were there and now the Queen has sadly died.We are home now and wm is on.8

Very very sad tonight. I really thought she’d be with us a few years more.10

Lots of errands done this morning, then came home, pegged out washing, had lunch and invited mum to go to former colleagues house to pick plums. Mum came back here and helped me make jam - she got to wash them. I jammed 3lb then took her home and she had a jar of bramble jelly which I made Monday. Jammed another 5lb this evening. Strangely I find jam making easier in imperial measurements…especially as jelly is 1 lb sugar per 1 pint juice. What I should have done was clean the kitchen… but I chose to mess it up instead.
I also made plum crumble. And tea.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. I have not been in the WAC for 2 nights, so (as far as I know) any cakes and biscuits left in the tin last night are still there. I wouldn't want to see them them going to waste...
Yesterday, among other things, I
- dealt with half a dozen phonecalls, including one to check that the hospital referral has been made (it has)
- did a load of admin stuff
- sorted various queries from the person who has taken over my Treasurer role, who has forgotten everything we talked about at the handover meeting, doesn't bother to check through the notes I gave him, and wants an immediate reply when he emails me(little chance of that atm)
- did WMx3, but it poured and thundered all afternoon, so the socks are drying on the airer, the T-shirts and tops are hanging in the utility, ready to go out on the whirligig as soon as I can see the colour of the sky, and the rest will join them until hopefully lunchtime, when we are told to expect more rain.
- spent 1.5 hours in heavy traffic, collecting DH from the wargames shop
- did my goldfish exercises 4 times out of the prescribed 6 in 24h
- walked Rosie after the rain had stopped.
Today I have more of the same, mostly.
Hope everyone has a good day and some reasons to smile xxx8 -
Good morning all,
Don’t fret, Iona, I bolstered up the WAC at 3.07am…
Need to think about tidying up the accommodation today, I suppose 😢. Luckily it’s not too bad.
Yummm, fresh pain au raisin….did I say slinky, anyone?8 -
Following yesterdays jam efforts I need to do some damage limitation. And some paid stuff.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

WM on and finished Clothes on the line, eye on the heavens lol
Good Job I kept an eye on the clouds, washing brought in from the rain and pout to dry on the Maiden.
Half the ironing pile demolished, and put away, so at least a little Flying done today, it is a start9
