Evening ladies,
I hope everyone has had a lovely day? I had a 1.5 hour nap earlier, much needed. Since my last post I have:
- FUPA all the clean laundry
- set another WM load going, ready to hang out in the morning
- made pie, mash and veg for tea
- WUDUPA
- Baked brownies and a blackberry cake
- Got the animals and children to bed
- Made packed lunches for tomorrow
- Written tomorrows list (long)
- Packaged up eBay parcels (another £75 made)
- assembled lasagne for tomorrow
I hope everyone sleeps well, brownies and cake in the tin xx9 -
Evening, all.
Today I have
- cooked sausages in the SC
- done a bit more paperwork
- written some emails
- kept the top of the c-o-d- tidy
- been back to the dentist after 4 days of horrible pain in my jaw - apparently I have been grinding my teeth, so I now have to do goldfish exercises 6 times a day and eat only soft food
- done a big (soft) food shop
- nearly got drowned as I came out of the shop - there was an enormous but shortlived downpour, complete with thunder and lightning
- put all the shopping away as soon as I got home
- picked up some of Rosie's fluffy coat off the study carpet
- not taken her for a walk - she doesn't want to go out because she hates thunder.
- crossed "tidy patio pots" off my list after the gardener had been
Mmm, brownies and blackberry cake....! Almost too tempting, asb.
Hope everyone sleeps well xx8 -
I rescued my 2 old girls from a thunderstorm and torrential rain.. I ran out grabbed them, stuffed them against my chest and shielded them from the wet with my body and into the house and they didn't even complain.. and I was soaked but they were nice and dry. Nutkin is outside hunting worms.
I got most of the washing in.. the whirly is still full but it was soaked by the time the rest was in so it got left.
Cancelled ANOTHER hospital appointment.. it is 9am and a 30 minute drive away.. I am marvellous but haven't yet mastered teleportation or time travel. Another referral has gone through.. the third one I have misplaced the letter for.. and I might just cancel this first one.. I never wanted it in the first place.. in fact.. yep.. imma do that..

Pegged out some washing, went to work. Came out of work to see a black sky so phoned DD to get washing in as I was nipping to bee and emm for coffee. The twin packs of clothes washing liquid I was paying £6.99 for, which went up to £7.49 are now over £9…that’s an increase in excess of 25%. And, near enough, an hours wages.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning all, up bright and early today with grandchildren. DW on first run already, three children up, dressed, fed, hair brushed, and packed off to breakfast club. Avoided being run over by two scooters, that were being wizzed around the kitchen, sorted some Lego. And only eight o clock!
Yesterday I pulled everything out of the cwtch, (the cupboard under the stairs, for none Welsh residents). Sorted all the boxes of toys, (12 big boxes), everything back in the right box. Managed to get five big boxes of Duplo into four boxes. Threw away all the broken stuff, then put everything back. Now need to Hoover the rug.
May get more done today, DD just finishing her last night, so will be sleeping less.
Right off, the kettle is calling, hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.
